I always check World Cargo Ltd quotes before shipping and they’re always (knock-on-wood) much cheaper than quotes we receive directly from the shipping companies. I love the fact that it’s pretty much automated and instant, so we don’t have to call and get a custom quote every time we’re looking at something.

We source a lot of equipment from online auction sites and private ads, and because we’re located in an isolated part of the country, freight can make a huge difference in the total cost of a piece of equipment. So sometimes it makes more sense to pay more for something from one seller who’s located closer rather than jumping on that “great deal” that ends up costing 4x as much in freight. Having been bitten in the past by high freight charges, I’ve been gun shy in the past about some deals and missed out because I wasn’t able to get a freight quote right away. Now, I just check World Cargo Ltd and know instantly if it’s worth bidding/buying.

Hi had a great experience with have a truck cab shipped from the US to Canada. It was a very large item. What really made the experience great was how World Cargo Ltd handled an issues that arose. The seller didn’t have all the required customs documents so the shipper wouldn’t pickup the package. I called them and they worked with the shipping company and I worked with the seller to get all the required documents so I could get my package. I was very happy with the ease of booking the shipment and how they were there to help me when an issue arose with this being my first cross border shipment with a large item.
